Losing weight is hard. Sometimes life gets in the way of our best intentions. Our days get filled with work and shuffling kids to and from activities that by the time we get home, the last thing we want to do is work out. We spend so much time on the run that it’s sometimes easier to run through a drive through than taking the time to cook a healthy meal. Then, we feel guilty when we want to take time for ourselves to relax or unwind at the gym. It’s ok. It’s hard, but it’s not impossible. Carving time out for yourself isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. You can do this and I can help.
Through monthly challenge groups, I help busy moms clean up their meals and fit exercise into their lives. One of the best feelings is hearing from my challengers that they have more energy, less stress, loose clothing or a renewed passion for fitness. The themes vary each month, but my favorite group centers around the 21 Day Fix. Never heard of it? Click here for more info. When you decide to make a change, it’s those little decisions you make every day that add up to big results. Challenge groups are communities of people just like you with similar goals and struggles. We’re in the trenches together, sharing recipes, motivation and keeping each other accountable for those choices. It’s so much easier when you aren’t in it by yourself. My groups are always free, so you have nothing to lose. For more information or to join a challenge group, contact me. Let’s get started. I’d love to hear from you.
A bit about me…
I’m a working mom on a quest to incorporate healthy choices into my busy life. I’ve waded through fad diets and crazy exercise plans, which did nothing but frustrate and confuse me. I ditched all that nonsense and went back to basics – daily exercise and clean eating and became a health and fitness coach to help others do the same. I’ve always enjoyed fitness, but healthy eating is something I need to work on every day. When I signed up to be a coach, my friend said “Didn’t you once lick whipped cream off my table?” Um yes. And, truth be told, I might again if she has another martini party and makes that cake. However, until then, I will make healthy choices. I’m not a personal trainer or a exercise fanatic. I’m just a normal, working mom trying to be healthier. It’s not about perfection. It’s about consistency and if I can do it, you can too.
I love trying new things and I’ll be sharing my adventures in fitness and cooking, as well as help and advice on things I encounter along the way.
- I’m a terrible baker, but I make fantastic frosting and I believe that frosting can fix almost any baking disaster.
- I’m usually reading at least 2-3 books at the same time.
- I love animals, but I have an irrational fear of snakes and ostriches.
- I miss my mom every day.
- I played the violin in elementary school and once played the Star Wars theme song as a solo in a school concert. I’m pretty sure that if you gave me a violin and an hour, I could once again rock that song on the violin.
