What is Shakeology?
Before I started drinking Shakeology, I looked everywhere for a nutrition shake that had protein and vitamins without all the fillers and crap that most shakes on the market have. I also wanted one that tastes good – without that gross artificially sweet aftertaste or chalky texture. When I found Shakeology, the first thing I liked about it was the taste. It tastes like a cheat, but it’s packed with vitamins and things my body needs. I love to drink it as a meal replacement – either to start my day or as a meal when I’m out and don’t have time to cook. It keeps me out of the drive through when I’m out running around.
From the creators of Shakeology…
Shakeology ® is your healthiest meal of the day. Its a nutrient-dense vitamin and protein shake that’s made with good ingredients and none of the junk you will find in other protein shakes. It’s made with the healthy stuff you should be eating every day, but typically don’t. Shakeology’s the perfect combination of proteins, phytonutrients, antioxidants, enzymes, prebiotics, and probiotics. Plus,it also contains many rare ingredients, including adaptogens, camu-camu, and maca root—things we can’t get from an ordinary diet.
There are a ton of recipes, but these are my favorite.
My go-to shake is:
- 1 scoop of vanilla, chocolate or Cafe Latte Shakeology
- 1 banana (or a half)
- 1 tsp cinnemon
- 1 and a half cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- ice cubes
– Mix it all up in the blender.
Note: I like to mix it with unsweetened vanilla almond milk. It’s only 30 calories per cup and it makes it creamy. You can mix it with water, milk, soy milk – whatever works for you. I also always add ice and mix it in the blender. The more ice you add, the thicker the shake.
Here are more of my favorites:
Note: All of these should be mixed in a blender for best results.
